興奮のオリンピックだけど・・・航平さまの話題に触れられず・・・。
なんか、まだ信じられないって感じかも。
結弦君の「フィギュアスケート＝羽生結弦の人生」って言葉を思い出しながら、
昨日、航平さまの記事を読んでいた。
Olympics presents us thrills and excitments though,
well, still can't believe that Kohei Uchimura was not able to
move to the final. . .
Reading the article about Kohei, Sarah recalled Yuzu's comment;
"Figure Skating = Yuzuru Hanyu's life".

「アートじゃないといけない。絵画を見ているような、美しい景色を見ているかのようと思わせるのが理想」
“Artistic Gymnastics should be art. My ideal is a performance from which audience feel as if they are appreciating fine art.”
航平さまは建築物、特にお城に興味があるとかで・・・・
And it says Kohei is interested in architecture, especially castle buildings.
「姫路城には勝てない。一番美しいと思う」。
「それが『本物』だと思う。フィギュアスケートの羽生（結弦）君の演技も近い」。
“I can’t be like Himeji Castle. It’s most beautiful.”
“And that’s genuine, I think. Hanyu’s performances are very close to it.”
航平さま、結弦君の競技者としての心の在り方とか、そういう部分の話題って以前のインタビューでもしていたけど、結弦君の演技そのものを言葉にしたことってなかった気がするけど・・・。
なんかね、すっごくうれしい言葉だったけど、でも、うれしいって手放しで喜べる状態じゃなかったというか、ドキュメンタリーもあったり、鉄棒に絞るって決断をした時の様子とかも映像で見ていたし、いや、そういう映像がなかったとしても、本当に想像を超える強い気持ちで、自分と戦い続け臨んだオリンピックだって痛いほど感じられていたから、それが、ぷっつりと途絶えて・・・
なんだろ・・・なんか泣けてきちゃって、言葉がなかった・・・
Kohei tolked about Yuzu but these are about Yuzu's mentality or his attetude towards competitions but Sarah thinks this was the first time reading Kohei talked about Yuzu's performance itself.
It's a lovely comment but, well, reading it with news he was eliminated in the prelim, well, no word. . .
Yeah, he must be terribly disapointed. . .
2014年に結弦君が上月スポーツ賞を受賞した時の言葉も心に浮かんでいた。
Also reading the article, a pharse from Yuzu's speech delivered at the award ceremony of 2014 Kozuki Sport Award.
「スポーツはとても残酷だと思います。一番努力した者が必ず一番の結果を出せるものではありません。しかし、努力しなければ結果は決して残すことはできません。」
“I think sports is very cruel. Those who worked hardest can’t always get the best result. But without effort, we can’t get result.”
「勝負」なのよね。「勝ち」があれば・・・「負け」がある。
There are winners and losers. . . .
「体操を永遠にやめないかもしれない。引退することが終わり方の正解なのかと考えると違うと思う」。その瞳はまだ究極の「理想」を追い求めている。
“I may not quite gymnastics throughout my life. I don’t think retiring is the right way to end up.” Uchimura’s eyes are still looking for the ultimate “ideal”.
航平さまにとっても「体操＝内村航平の人生」なんだよね、きっと。
