1 cmあるかないかのちっちゃなお花、ミシマバイカモ。

三島の川は富士山の湧き水なので、1年中水温15-6℃。

この暑い中でも、水温は変わらず・・・めっちゃ冷たい！

Tiny flowers, about 1 cm or so, Mishima Baikamo (Ranunculus nipponicus).

River water come from Mt. Fuji, once water goes underground and spring, so the water temperature is all year round the same, about 15-16 ℃.

ちっちゃな話題、もう1つ・・・

And another topic about something tiny. . .

ちっちゃなイチジク？直径ほんの2ｃｍぐらいの大きさ。
イチジクの仲間だけど、な～ぜか名前はイヌビワ。
イチジクって無花果って漢字が使われるけど、でもこの実が、お花。
イチジクにはイチジクコバチ(2mmほどのちびちゃん）という共存の仲間がいて、イヌビワもイヌビワコバチがいるの。
イヌビワはコバチさんを花（実）に招き入れるんだけど、実は、雄花と雌花、別々の木で育っていて（雌雄異株）、雄花はコバチさんのおうちになるわけ。コバチさんの子たちが雄花で育って、で、その小さな社会で結婚して・・・。で、コバチ君は羽がないからそのまま生まれ育った雄花で一生を終えるけど、女性は冒険心強いからね、コバチ夫人は、身重にもかかわらず未知の世界に旅立つのよ。でも、行きつく先は別のイヌビワの花（実）。でね、雌花に入ると、生まれ育った雄花の花粉が落ちて雌花は受粉。でも、雌花はコバチ夫人が卵を産み付ける形になっていないから、あわれコバチ夫人は子孫を残せず去っていくわけ。でも、お花にたどり着けばまたそこをおうちにして子供たちが育っていくんだけどね。
でもさ、こだわりすごくない？蝶々さんも、ハチさんも、あ、騒がしい小鳥さんもウェルカム！ってお花が多い中、ただただイヌビワコバチさんを頼って生きているって。あ、イヌビワコバチさんも、世の中た～くさんお花はあるけど、わき目もふらずイヌビワに一直線！！
Tiny Fig (FIcus erecta), the size is about 2 cm or so across.
Same as most of Ficus, this tiny one too, it has a “buddy“, about 2 mm size Fig wasp.
It’s dioecious, and when a female wasp goes into a male flower, then she marry to a male who live in the flower, males only live there and die there but ladies are challenging (?) and travel to another flower. When a flower she arrives is a male flower, then she can lay eggs but when it is a female flower, then she just bring pollen, but due to the structure of female flowers, she can’t lay her eggs, but flower is pollinated.
It’s a very unique relation. There are so many flowers but for these wasps only they go to this fig, so as the fig, there are so many insects but they only welcome that tiny Fig wasp.
