シロバナブラシノキ。
ブラシノキ、よく見かけるのは真っ赤な炎のようなお花でしょ。
Bottlebrush.
Popular ones are red flowers, right?
でもね、裏の公園のブラシノキは白花。
先の方の緑のたまたまちゃんたちがつぼみ。
But the one in the small park behind our house got white flowers.
These green ball-shaped ones are buds.
白いもじゃもじゃ、これ、全部雄しべ。
もじゃもじゃの根元に薄緑色が見えるでしょ？
それが花びら。
The white "brush" are stamens.
And the light green parts are petals.
でね、もう1つ奇妙なのは、普通ね、葉っぱの上にお花が咲くでしょ？🌼
でもね、この子たち、お花のクラスターの先っぽから葉っぱが出てくるのよ。
And, one more unique part is;
usually, there's a stem, them leave and flowers come above leaves right?
But this one have leaves on the tip of flower-cluster.
でもってね、お花の後に当然、種ができるんだけど、たくさん、お花が咲いてるでしょ、
だから、種もた～くさん鈴なりにつくんだけど、カッチンコッチン。
カッチンコッチンは外側の殻で、その殻を壊してあげないと芽が出ないの。
自分で殻から抜け出せないんだって。
ブラシノキはオーストラリア原産なんだけど、オーストラリアは、よく山火事が起こるじゃない。
火事で殻が燃えて、で、種から芽が出るんだって。
And another unique part is its seeds.
So many flowers so, many seeds would be after flower.
Seeds are covered with hard shells, but seeds cannot break the shells, so to grow it, you have to break the shell before plant.
Bottlebrush is endemic to Australia, and they have forest fires often. When a fire occurs, then fire burnt the shell, then seed can grow.
