Well, old saying goes that carps become dragons when they swim up a waterfall.
毎年、この時期に五竜の滝にたくさんの鯉が泳ぐの。
Every year they decorate carp streamers, called "Koinobori"
to wish healthy growth of children.
昨日であった、かわいいにゃんこ！

Today, 5 May is "Children's Day" in Japan, and not only in this place, but
here in Japan, traditionally, families with little (a) boy(s) celebrate the day hanging up Koinobori.
