秋の修禅寺。
Shuzenji Temple in Izu.
連休終わって、人出の少なそうな平日、それも遅い午後にちょこっと、覗きに行ったの。
Visited there on a weekday, not so many turists there.
お水じゃないんだよ。弘法大師さんが見つけてくれた温泉。
The purification fountai here is not cold water but springing hot water.

紅葉を見に行ったんだけど・・・
なんか、お天気あったかいから？ちょっと期待外れだったの・・・実は・・・
We wanted to enjoy Autumn leaved there though,
because it has been too warm?? somehow colours of leaves are not what we expected.
いつもはね、この時期、台湾や中国からの観光客で、めっちゃ混んでいたけど。
静か～な境内。
For some years, in this season there were so many tourist from the East Asian countires, but this time, it was so quiet.
なんか、お寺さんの赤い色って、すごく生命力を感じない？
Red colour in a temple has an image of "spritual power" for Sarah.
ってか・・・ここは、紅葉の真っ赤に黒い梵鐘を期待していたんだけどね。
Especially, here, the contrast of red leaves and black bell is very beautiful though, this year, still so many green colours!
修禅寺の前の桂川と川の中に沸いている温泉、独鈷の湯
Katuragawa River, and hot spring "Tokko no Yu"
弘法大師さんの像。手にしているのが、独鈷。
独鈷で川底をつついたら、温泉が湧き出たんだって。
A famous Buddhist monk, Kobodaishi stute, and he's holding a Vajra, which is called "Tokko" in Japanese, and it says that when he hit the riverbed with his Vajra, hot water started gushing, this is why the hot sping in the river is called "Tokko no Yu (hot water of Vijra)".
