温水池のカルガモ君
冷たい富士山の湧き水の温度を上げて農業用水にするためにお水を溜めている「温水池」
どこにでもある溜池だと思っていたけど、
「温水池」で調べるとこの「中郷温水池」しか出てこないってことは
ひょっとして珍しいのかな？

well, there are many ponds or such reservoirs but this one must be a bit unique since this pond is made to keep springing water from Mt. Fuji, to warm up the temperature since its of springing water is all year round about 16 degree Celsius, it’s too cold for farming

羽があるだけでも、なんか不思議なのにこんなにいろんな種類の羽があって、
なんか適応ってすごいね
feathers themselves are somewhat mysterious but so many kinds of feathers they got, well, natural adaptations are great!!!
「なんの話？ボクのこと？」うん！そうだよ、羽、半分ちょうだい！
“are you talking about me?” yeah, why not share your feathers?
「聞かなかったことにしよっと！」

「サギ島」と勝手に名付けている人口中州、サギ・コロニー化
the man-made sandbank is in dense population of egrets
最近、お勉強した！一番外側の茶色の長い羽は初列風切、
ブルーの羽が次列風切、その内側が三列風切って名前なんだって
その上側も初列雨覆とか大雨覆とか6種類の羽があって、それで翼を作っているって、
なんか、やっぱ自然ってすごいね！
recently, Sarah learnt the names of each part of feathers
for example, the outer long feathers are called Primaries, and the blue part is Secondaries, then the part near to the body is Tertials
over them too, 6 types, such as Primary Coverts, Greater Coverts, Alula Feathers, etc. . . so complicated, and again felt the nature is great!!
