turn 結弦君のスケート教室 Learn more of Figure Skating!

でね、先日のスピンの記事の時に思ったんだけど
ヤフーの頃からエレメンツの話題をしていて
最初にターンとかあれこれ、詳しい説明をし、
それ以降はエレメンツの名前が出たら
そのページに飛べるようにして説明を省いていたけど
実は、ヤフー記事、こっちにまだ移行していなくて
で、改めて、今日は最初の最初からお話し始めちゃおうかな～
sometimes talk about elements, like jumps, spins, turns or steps, etc
but didn’t talk about very basic part yet, so
today, talking about basic part of “Figure Skating”

なので・・・まずさぁスケート靴からはじめちゃう！
so, start with Skates

ってか、フィギュアスケーターの命？ブレードから
厚さは3-4 mmで、大体靴と同じくらいの長さ
スピードスケート用は、靴よりかなり長いよね
で、最大の特徴はつま先にギザギザのトゥ・ピックがついていて
でもって、氷にあたる部分、ロッカーって言うんだけどね
ここに縦に溝(hollow)が入ってエッジが刻まれているところ
エッジ、スピードスケートには着いてないし、ホッケーのブレードは
人によって浅いエッジを入れる人いるらしいけど
skates got 3-4-mm-thickness of blades,
the blade is about the same length as its of the shoe
blades for Speed Skating are quite long though
what are special of Figure Skate blades are;
they got toe-picks on the front of a blade and
the part touching to the ice is called as “Rocker”
which has a hollow from the toe to back,
the hollow makes “egdes”

ブレードのロッカーの部分を正面から見た断面図が
上のleft、rightって書かれた図になるんだけど
here above figures are section view of blades

R = 右 B = バック　I = インサイド　O = アウトサイド

L =左

CCW = 反時計回り CW = 時計回り

エッジの外側か内側を使って滑るのね、それで
すぃ～とすべっても、まっすぐじゃなくって弧を描くわけ
よく、時計回りは CW、反時計回りはCCWって省略
so a skater skates using a inside or outside edge so that
when they are skating, they make an arc on the ice
whether clockwise (CW) or counter clockwise (CCW)

ここで結弦少年は左側から右に後ろ向きに滑っているんだけど
使っているエッジは右のアウトエッジ、なので反時計回りの弧が氷に描かれて
here little Yuzu is skating from the left to right, backward
he’s using his Right Out edge so his skating trace makes a CCW arc

で、今度は右から左に前向きに進んでいるけど
左のアウトエッジを使っているので、やっぱり反時計回りの弧
now he’s skating from the right to left, forward
using his Left Out edge, so again he’s skating CCW circle

ふふ！そして結弦少年の「美」クワド・トゥ！　
and his BEAUTIFUL quad-Toe!　

くどい？m(__)m　これでもかなりサクッと言っているよ～
でね、ステップシークエンスで重要になっているターン
6種類あって、これを組み合わせながら滑っているのよ
ちなみにね、ターンは片方の足だけで滑って、そのまま
向きを変えること
例えば右足で前向きに滑って、クルリンとそのまま右足だけで
廻って後ろ向きになること
then let’s see varieties of turns
turns are necessary for the step sequence, there are 6 turns
“turns” are executed by only one foot and change the direction of body
for example, skating with right foot then just using only right foot
turning from forward to backward

前置き、超～長くなったので今日はとりあえず
スリーターン
here’s “Three Turn”

氷に描かれたスケートのトレースが「3」の形になるからスリーターン
GIFの結弦君、左足前向きにアウトエッジで反時計回りの弧を描いて、

クルリンと（1つ上の写真の赤い矢印のところ）
反時計回りにかかとを回転させて、後ろ向きに
で、向きが変わったらインサイドのエッジ滑って
また反時計回りの弧を描いたわけ

（きゃっ！それにしても超～かっけぇ～！）
you see, on the ice, the blade trace is “3” shape
this is why this turn is called Three Turn
here, Yuzu was skating Forward with his Left Out edge
making a CCW arc, then at the red arrowed point
he makes a turn turning his foot CCW, then
skates backward with his Left Inside edge
making a CCW arc
