箱根のドールハウス美術館の入口
the entrance of Hakone Doll House Museum
展示の最初はイギリスのドールハウス
the first part of the exhibitions is
doll houses from UK
ドールハウスって基本、本物の1/12の大きさ何ですって
机、手のひらに乗っちゃうな大きさ！
they said that doll houses are basically 1/12 of real houses
so the size of the desk is as small as you can have on your palm
以前、この建物は植物園だったはず・・
そのころの建物を改修して使っているので
なんか、美術館としてはかなりユニークな建物
formally, this facility was used as a botanical house
so, as a museum, the building structure is quite unique
ミニチュアの列車の展示もあって
also they exhibit some miniature trains
かわいい登山列車、妖精さんたちを乗せているのよ！
a cute mountain railway, serving to fairies!
それに・・ちょっとお茶目な展示もあったり
and some cartoonish exhibitions too
アリスはどこ？？？ Where’s Alice?
イギリスの小説家トーマス・ハーディのお家ですって
the model of this doll house is said to be
the house of Tohmas Hardy, an English novelist
メインはイギリスのドールハウスだけど
ヨーロッパの他の国のドールハウスも
the main exhibitions are British doll houses but
also they exhibit some other European works too
スペインのドールハウス
ドールハウスの中にもドールハウスが・・・！！
in a Spanish doll house, look
there’s another doll house in it!
