2枚目のアルバム≪Close To You≫に収録。
この曲はバート・バカラック作曲、ハル・デイビッド作詞でカーペンターズにとってはカヴァー曲。
もともとはミュージカル「プロミスィーズ」のために書かれた曲で、1969年にボビー・ジェントリーがヒットさせ次にディオンヌ・ワーウィックが歌い世界的にヒット。ワーウィックはこの曲で1971年度のグラミー賞を受賞。因みにワーウィックは今は亡きホイットニー・ヒューストンの従姉。
この曲の歌詞はなかなか面白い。さんざん恋に悪態をつきながらも
「だから私は、とにかく明日までは恋なんかしないの。二度と恋なんかするもんですか」
と締めくくる。
「なんだ！ 明日までの話かい」って突っ込みを入れたくなる（笑）

これから新たな人生を踏み出す二人の気持ちを歌った歌。原題は「私たちは始めたばかり」。
これもカヴァー曲で、作詞はポール・ウィリアムズ、作曲はロジャー・ニコルズ。
元々、ある銀行のCMソングだったが、リチャードが曲の一部に手を加えアレンジ。1970年10月31日からビルボード誌で4週連続２位を記録。
カーペンターズの他にも、ペリー・コモ、ディオンヌ・ワーウィック、アンディ・ウィリアムス、ヘンリー・マンシーニ、バリー・マニロウなど多くのアーティストがカヴァー。
