2024年3月21日（木）青森県の新たな魅力を伝えるというミッションの1つを達成した。遡ること11年前（2013年）、県内在住20名の欧米人を対象としたモニタリングツアーを津軽で実施。特に評価の高かったのが「黒石市 こみせ通り」「弘前市 禅林街」だった。以来、在京の大手旅行社を2回招いて、これらをクルーズ船向けのツアーに組み込むよう永年お願いしてきた。それが、今回初めてツアーとして商品化された。ほとんどのツアーが弘前城に向かうなか、本コースは敢えて弘前城を外し、PRしてきた「こみせ通り」「最勝院五重塔」「禅林街」をめぐるツアーとなった。
March 21, 2024 (Thursday) I was able to achieve one of my goals of conveying the charms of the little-known Aomori Prefecture. In 2013, I am conducting a monitoring tour in Tsugaru region for 19 Westerners living in the prefecture. At that time, Especially highly rated were "Kuroishi City ～ Komise Medieval Samurai Street" and "Hirosaki City ～ Zen Temple Street and Five-Story Pagoda." Since then, I and colleages have twice invited major travel agencies from Tokyo and have been asked them to make cruise ship tours with these destinations. Finally we did it!! It has become commercialized for the first time. While many tours head for Hirosaki Castle, my tour daringly omits the castle, instead visited the three facilities above.

商品購入したのは30名(計60名バス2台)。途中、時間調整に「目を開けた生首の絵」を開帳している寺に案内した。年に2回しか一般公開しないが、この日はその公開日。この掛け軸はテレビの公開収録中に片目を開けたことで、日本中で話題になったものだ。掛け軸の目が開く (youtube.com) 小雪が舞う寒さの中でのツアーとなったが、ゲストは「黒石こみせ」を一番に上げた人が多かった。このツアーを購入しくれたゲスト全員に心から感謝申したい。なお、ツアーの担当者に伺ったところ、今回のクルーズ船は富裕層が多いことから、よりニッチなツアーを提供したとの事である。これを機会に、本ツアーが弘前城や十和田湖同様に人気あるツアーとなり、来年以降も継続されることを期待したい。
During the tour, I took 30 guests to a temple where the "hanging scrolls of severed heads" is open to the public to control duration time. One of scroll caused a stir in all over Japan in the 1980s when a severed head opened one eye during the open air TV program. 掛け軸の目が開く (youtube.com)While the temple opened the scrolls only twice a year, we were able to observe those in the tour. The tour was conducted in the cold with light snow flurries, many guests praised "Kuroishi Medieval Samurai Street" the most. I want to thank all the guests who purchased and enjoyed this tour. I hope that this tour will become as popular as tours to Hirosaki Castle or Lake Towada, and that it will continue.
