1st

It was a rainy day off. I woke up around 5 o'clock and got some tasks done before breakfast. For lunch, I made seafood tom yam ramen and share it with my wife. In the afternoon, the sky cleared up, so I went for a bike ride around Fuchu and Chofu.

2nd

I cycled to the offce. It was a beautiful morning. I worked on unloading and storing the gear, and then handed over some gear for tomorrow's rehearsal. I took the afternoon off. Afetewards, I headed over to Mizonokuchi for a bit of  browising and picked up a shirt and a few accessories.

6th

I woke up before 5 a.m. and headed to Osaka for a show-a job I had been asked to help with by Okamatsu. The work went off without a hitch. After the show, I joined Michibata and Kobayashi at a teppan yaki restaurant, where I listened to their complaints about work-conplaints I could fully relate to, as I'm part of the tour myself.

7th

I woke up before 7 a.m. at the hotel and headed to Shibuya for a work that had been assigned to me. I had wanted to grab breakfast at Naniwa soba, a place I'd grown fond of during my mornings in Osaka. However, the shop was nowhere to be found. Instead, I picked up breakfast at "Kyo carnet"-and was pleasantly surprised by how unexpectedly delicious it was. I didn't sleep at all on the Shinkansen back to Tokyo. I managed to get the work done, though I was exhausted.

8th

I woke up before 6 a.m. but fell back asleep after a while. I cycled to the office. I received gear from Hashimoto and Lee for the show the day after tomorrow. I used a drum tuner for the first time-one I had recently bought after going back and forth on whether to purchase it-and it was every bit as interesting as I had expected. I also got some work done today.

9th

This morning, on the way to the office, my bicycle’s gear was broke, but I managed to fix it temporarily . However, when I arrived at the office and tried again, I couldn’t fix it properly. I worked on preparing the gear for tomorrow’s show and loading it into the transportation truck. Afterwards, I spent a little time researching drum tuning using a TUNE BOT. Then, I headed to Nihonbashi to set up the gear.

I went to the hosptal for a follow-up appointment because I had received a poor result on my annual helth check. Afterward, I took my bike to the bicycle shop for a repair. I stopped by nearby supermarket three times. For dinner, I made some quiche.

13th

Early in the morning, my daughter complained of a headache- and today happened to be her school’s sports festival. She had put a lot of time and effort into preparing for it, and had really been looking forward to it. I tried to calm her down and help her find the best solution for herself. Fortunately, she managed to go to school and decided to give it a try. After that, I went back to sleep for a little while. Later, I headed to Shibuya for a TV shoot. A veteran singer performed. and Kimura’s team joined as the technical equipment crew.

The result were good, and the values that had been off were almost back to normal. I realized that cuting back on alcohol is very effective for me. For lunch, my family had Hakata ramen. After lunch, I continued studying English again.

My family, except for my daughter, took a trip to a botanical garden specializing in medicinal plants. We saw some legally grown poppy flowers. Then, we decided to head to Tama lake via the Tamako Line. We enjoyed our time there and then moved on to Seibu Dome via the Yamaguchi Line. In the end, it turned put to be a day of enjoying several Seibu Lines!

19th

I spent the whole day on day-driver duties and got everything ready for tomorrow. I also swapped out the snare drum head and tuned it using the Tunebot. I'm  slowly getting a feel for its quirks when reading the pitch.

20th

This morning, I noticed that the Odakyu Line was delayed, so I left home earlier than planned. When I arrived Nobrito station to change trains, the Odakyu platform was so crowded and stairs were so packed that I couldn't move for a few minutes. I then transferred at Yoyogi-Uehara, but the train was extremely crowded and running very late, so I decided to use LUUP insted. I made it to the studio just in time. I worked on a TV show featuring a veteran female singer.

23rd

I made my way to Hachioji for the final show of the voice actress’s tour . The performance was a great success. However, after the show, one of the band member’s cars wouldn't start, so some staff stayed to handle the situation. Unfortunately, it turned out that the car couldn't be fixed that day in the end.
