As I reported to you in my blog article of December 24th, I had had a meeting on the Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ) with a leading Asia specialist of the most prominent and influential think-tank on Foreign Relations in Washington DC last December.
During the meeting, she had provided to me the most precious advice and important information on ADIZ and Japan's national security, which I am more than happy to convey to Members of the Japanese Parliament that I have contacts.
After I returned to Japan in late December, I have already had a meeting with a Member of the Japanese Parliament. He is one of the most prominent statesmen in Japan who has a big influence over Japan's diplomacy and energy policies.
I conveyed to him the precious advice and information on ADIZ and the US military base in Okinawa.
Also, I could advise to him my personal view that Japan should stop swinging back and forth between China and the United States and that Japan's diplomacy, instead, should concentrate upon supporting and contributing to the formation of a new constructive relationship between China and the United States.
In addition, as he indicated his interest in the latest situation of the US renewable energies, I informed him about some of notable developments happening there right now including issuance of asset-backed-securities by SolarCity, major institutional investors' sending questionnaires to fossil fuel industries, and Minnesota judge's remarkable ruling.
Peace in the East Asia is imperative for renewable energy industries.
I do hope that the precious advice and information that I conveyed to him would contribute to the peace and stability of the East Asia.

ミーティングにおいて、上級研究員の方は、防空識別圏と日本の安全保障に関し、きわめて貴重なアドバイスと大切な情報を提供してくださいました。
彼女のアドバイスと情報を、私がコンタクトを持つ国会議員の方々にお伝えしていきたいと思っています。
日本帰国後、私は、すでに国会議員の方とミーティングを持つことが出来ました。彼は、日本でもっとも著名な政治家の一人であり、日本の外交とエネルギー政策に大きな影響力を持つ方です。
私は、彼に、防空識別圏と沖縄基地問題に関する、貴重なアドバイスと情報を伝達することが出来ました。
また、同時に、私の個人的見解をお伝えすることも出来ました。私は、彼に対し、「日本は、中国寄りになったり、アメリカ寄りになったりすることを止め、中国とアメリカとの間の、新しい、建設的な関係構築のため、尽力し、貢献すべきである。」とお伝えしました。
さらに、彼がアメリカの再生可能エネルギーの状況について質問したため、ソーラーシティによる資産担保証券の発行、有力機関投資家による化石燃料産業への質問状、ミネソタ州判事による注目すべき判決、についてお伝えしました。
東アジアの平和は、再生可能エネルギー産業にとって、きわめて重要です。
今回の貴重なアドバイスと情報を伝えることが、東アジアの平和と安定につながるものと期待しています。
