On December 22nd, the Kanagawa Prefectural Government of Japan opened the Kanagawa Solar Center to provide free-consultations & free-quotes on PV installations.
The center’s advisers provide neutral, objective, and unbiased advices so that the Kanagawa people can arrive at the installation plans which are best suited for their conditions and preferences.

33 plans of installations were provided by 12 joint ventures, each of which has one panel manufacturers. They are Sharp, Kyocera, Mitsubishi, Solar Frontier, Noritz, Choshu Industry, Trina Solar, Upsolar, Canadian Solar, Q-Cells, Hanwha, and Hundai/LS Industrial Systems.
Because of standardization & volume discount, the prices of the installation plans are less expensive than market prices.
Actually, some plans are so economical that you can pay back the entire prices of installations within 10 years by selling electricity under the Feed-in Tariff.
All center’s advisers are members of NPO called PV-Net. All of them have experiences of installing solar panels for their own houses. So, they can provide very reliable advices.
The center is open 7 days a week except for December 29, 2011 to January 3, 2012.

１２月２２日、神奈川県政府は、かながわソーラーセンターを開設しました。センターは、太陽電池パネル設置に関し、無料相談と無料見積を提供します。
神奈川県民のみなさんが、それぞれの条件とご希望に合った最適な設置プランに到達するよう、 センターの相談員が中立・客観的・公正なアドバイスを提供します。
今回は、１２のジョイントベンチャーが３３のプランを用意しました。各ジョイントベンチャーには、それぞれ、ひとつの太陽電池メーカーが含まれています。シャープ、京セラ、三菱電機、ソーラーフロンティア、ノーリツ、長州産業、トリナ・ソーラー、Upsolar、カナディアン・ソーラー、Qセルズ、ハンファ、そして、現代・LS産電です。
標準化と一括発注によるディスカウントの結果、設置プランの価格は市場価格を下回っています。実際、いくつかのプランは価格が安いため、売電により、１０年間で設置代金を完済することが可能です。
センターの相談員のみなさんは、PV-NetというNPOのメンバーです。全員、ご自宅に太陽電池パネルを設置されたご経験があるため、的確なアドバイスの提供が行なわれます。
センターは、年末年始を除き、土日も含め毎日受付を行なっています。
