I attended the symposium "Is 2011 An Inflection Point for the Future of Clean Energy?" held by the German American Business Association in Palo Alto, CA.
A brilliant presentation was made by Mr. Tony Seba, lecturer at Stanford University and author of "Solar Trillions". He provided so many advantages of renewable energies.
After the symposium, a networking opportunity was given to the speakers and attendees.
I asked to Mr. Boris Schubert, COO of Q-Cells North America, what distributed energies should do to overcome concentrated energies. Mr. Schubert answered, "We'll do our homework - cost reduction."
I also asked him why renewable energies spread so much in Germany. Mr. Schubert answered, "Dr. Hermann Scheer. We had a right man at a right time."
I asked to Mr. Adam Browning, Executive Director & Co-Founder of Vote Solar, what we should do to spread renewable energies. Mr. Browning answered, "Show examples. Even a small example will do."
I said to Mr. Tony Seba, "This is more than business. This is a political battle between concentrated energies and distributed energies." Mr. Seba said, "Absolutely!"

Q-CELLSのボリス・シューベルトさんに、「分散型発電が集中型発電を上回るためには、何をすべきですか？。」と質問しました。
シューベルトさんは、「我々Q-CELLSは、自分達の仕事をするのみです。ーコスト低減です。」とおしゃっていました。
さらに、シューベルトさんに、「ドイツで再生可能エネルギー普及が拡大したのはなぜですか？。」と質問しました。
シューベルトさんは、「ハーマン・シーアのおかげです。ドイツは、正しいときに、正しい人を得ました。」とおっしゃっていました。
VOTE SOLAR代表のアダム・ブラウニングさんに、「再生可能エネルギーを普及させるためには何をすべきですか？。」と質問しました。
ブラウニングさんは、「具体例を示すんだ。どんな小さなことでも良い。」とおっしゃっていました。
トニー・シーバさんに、「これは単なるビジネスではありません。集中型エネルギーと分散型エネルギーの間の政治的力比べです。」とお伝えしました。
シーバさんは、「その通り！。」とおっしゃっていました。
