Spring is coming
Hello again!
It has been a while but I've been super busy so it seems like I wrote my last blog only a few weeks ago. My apologies to those who were waiting for my next one! ha ha ha.
Likely nobody.......![]()
Anyhow, Spring is around the corner and ............. I don't really care actually! I would like it to stay cold a bit longer so that I may go snowboarding
a few more times and then go to the 温泉
!! This weekend will be my last planned trip and I'll be going to 安比高原 in 岩手。 Anyone been there?? It'll be my second time and I'm really looking forward to it.
Although many people here look forward to Spring for reasons like it's warmer, they can go cherry blossom-viewing, flowers bloom, it's a good time to get married, etc., I don't think it is so great. For one, I have hay-fever and it is ridiculous in 東京。 Another reason is that it rains too much.
!! Am I alone in thinking snow
is nicer than rain
? I heard some people on the elevator say a couple of weeks ago that they were glad that it didn't snow that day - but it was raining!! Rain is more troublesome!! As a Canadian, it is funny to see people carry umbrellas
when it's snowing in Japan. I know they'll say it is because the snow is 'wet' but even when it is not really 'wet' they use umbrellas. Also, too many people get married around this time !!! I'm just a poor teacher - I can't afford all these weddings! ha ha ha.
Lastly, I think this season coincides with a time of high stress for many people in Japan. Many people are starting/learning new jobs, others are training, many expectations are placed on people, etc. People don't seem to have time to go out or have fun!!
I do however, enjoy the cherry blossoms. It is something that we can't see in most parts of Canada. You can see them in the Vancouver area these days but I don't hink in too many other places. The sad part
is that you can only see them for such a short period of time.
What do you all think about Spring? What are you looking forward to this season?
I hope you enjoy the cherry blossom-viewing!!

Hi everyone![]()
My Favorite Place in Tokyo
I have been in Tokyo
for about a year and a half now,
and I have gotten to experience many interesting things
and seen many interesting places,
but my
ICHIBAN SUK
な place in Tokyo is
a place called ROUND ONE near where I live.
ROUND ONE is an all-you-can-play arcade and sports.
They have all of my favorite sports
such as volley ball, basketball,
ping pong, golf, and bating cages.
Round one even has exotic sports
like archery and shooting.
My favorite sport is volley ball
because I used to play when I was younger![]()
Although I am not as good as I used to be I like to round up my buddies
from time to time and challenge them to an exciting game
Round one has a big arcade with mini bowling, billards,
karaoke
rooms, a mechanical bull,
and a roller blade rinkо(ж>▽<)y ☆
which is a garaunteed good time with friends or a date
.
The best part about this land of endless fun is
that it is only 1,100 yen
to play everything
for as long as you want!!!!
It’s like FUN-放題
I go there so often that I have my own membership card
A big reason why I love
this place is because there is nothing
like it in California.
A place where you can play all the games that you want for one price
There is a place in California called Dave n Busters
which is an arcade with a full restaurant
and bar
,
so you can get wasted and play games with your friends
but Round One has a wider selection of games and activities.
If Round One had a full bar
and restaurant
then
I think I would just live there.
Please tell me about
your favorite place or places in tokyo![]()
