So, given /u/CoruscanSunset's logic (that normally things are priced at $X99, which undoubtedly is *usually* true), how is this woman stupid?
She guessed it would cost exactly $499, and unfortunately it was $500. Chances were that it would actually be $499, as this would make the most marketing-sense.
EDIT: I never watch this show and may not understand the rules correctly, but wouldn't the winning woman in this video be the absolutely retarded one, had she said $500 and it was actually priced $499 (as would be logical in retail)? Then the losing woman in the video would be oh so smart, wouldn't she?
Sounds like a situational double-standard to me in some way...?
