オンラインパーリ語講座

 
2020年7月7日（ニューヨークは6日）より、オンラインの無料パーリ語講座（英語）がスタートします✨約一ヶ月間で計10回あります。
 
日本語でオンラインのパーリ語講座を探しても見つからず、
そんな時たまたま友人たちからシェアされたこの講座。自粛期間中、世界中で講座のオンライン化がどんどん進んでいるようで、遠く離れて暮らしている素晴らしい先生方の講座を家で受けられる、という時代になってきました。
 
英語ですが、初心者のためにに一から教えてくださるそうです。Ven. Bhikkhu Bodhiの教え子の方なので、とても楽しみです。

Dear Pali Friends,
 
I'm Stephen Sas and very excited to receive such a positive response to my upcoming Pali course. 
Due to the large number of emails coming in, I hope this general mail answers most questions for now.
 
-There is no need to register. All are welcome to this freely offered class.
 
-The class times are listed as United States, Eastern Daylight Time (New York time). I hoped to accommodate as many across the world as possible.
 
-As of now there is not a plan to record classes. However, there are plans to place older recordings of Pali classes given by Ven. Bodhi on the baus.org website.
 
-All class materials will be in English (and Pali).
 
-Please check the BAUS website, www.baus.org , for all up to date Zoom class information. It will be posted there soon.
 
-If you do not own the textbooks, I believe there are free downloads of De Silva's Pali Primer on the internet. For the Gair and Karunatillake text, since we will only cover the beginning, I can provide the opening chapter.
 
-I will send out an introductory overview of Declension and Conjugation, using English language examples. The more one is familiar with the 8 Pali cases the smoother the class will go. I also recommend looking at the vocabulary in advance. I believe there are some online Pali Primer vocabulary drills available.
 
-I will be starting each Zoom meeting several minutes before the class time. Please join the meeting prior to the starting time.
 
-I'll send out more detailed syllabus information soon.
