Hello everyone!
今夏の長い酷暑に耐え続け、もう二度と夏なんて来ないんじゃないかと思いましたが、、、来ました！
Having endured a long, scorching summer, I never imagined autumn would come this year….but it did!
富士山でも、今朝、初冠雪が観測されました。（むしろ冬なのか？！）
The first snow was observed on the top of Mt Fuji this morning. (Rather winter?!)
暦の上ではすでに「霜降（そうこう）」です。
Today marks “霜降(Soh koh)” (lit. 'frost falls'), the period when morning temperatures begin to fall and the first frost begin to appear, according to the 24 solar terms calendar. （今日は「霜降」（直訳：霜が降る）、二十四節気カレンダーによると、朝の気温が落ちて霜が現れ始める頃です。）
近年の秋と同様、今年の秋も短くなりそうですね。
Like recent autumns, this year's autumn will likely be brief.
