on overun there is a carpet of blue somke behind me. oil level is mid way so not over filled. have the bores/rings started to give up or is there any common things that cause this symptom any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. ta

over the past few weeks due to age i have had several hoses let go on my 200tdi disco and have lost all water and anti freeze every time .at the moment i am running on just water until i can afford a new radiator as i am fed up with paying out for antifreeze but it seems to run at a higher temp than it used to, does the claim about anti freeze being a "summer coolent" have any basis and if i refilled with some now would it help the engine run cooler ????. or could the higher running temp be down to the fact that i have used radweld ???.
