Tant attendu ne reviendra jamais,
Dedans l'Europe, en Asie apparoistra,
Un de la ligue yssu du grand Hermes,

英訳文を和訳すると、
とても長い間予期されたものは決してこないだろう
ヨーロッパの中には、アジアの中に現れるだろう
偉大なヘルメスから出た系列の一つ（一人）
そして東洋の全ての王たちを越えるだろう
注目に値する科学者の指導の下で、東洋の国家の統合が予測される。
訳の解説
「long」（長い間） 「expect」（予期する） 「issue」（(～から)出る） 「line」（列） 「Orient」（東洋） 「consolidation」（統合） 「nation」（国家） 「the East」（東洋） 「forecast」（予測される(過去分詞)） 「notable」（注目に値する、有名な） 「under the leadership of ～」（～の指導の下で）
ロバーツは、フランス語の原文の「ligue」（同盟）を「ligne」（系列）で訳しているので、元の原文は「ligne」でこの本の段階での誤植と思われる。ただし、他の原文には「ligue」もある。また、４行目の「 coistra」も「croistra」（croîtreの古い形の未来形）で訳しているので、これもこの本の段階での誤植と思われる。これだけ誤植が判明すれば、３章９４番の詩の４行目の「es」も「ce」の誤植と断定してもいいだろう。
