作品に魚の生態系を組み込む、水中アートの展覧会「ECO EDO 日本橋 ダイナースクラブ アートアクアリウム2013～江戸・金魚の涼～」が開催される。期間は2013年7月13日(土)から2013年9月23日(月)まで。五感で涼しさと日本の美が体感できる空間を創り出すのは、アートアクアリウムの第一人者である木村英智。今年のテーマは「江戸・金魚の涼」。和をモチーフにデザインされた水槽と、光・映像など最新の演出技術が融合した水中アートが披露される。
特に海外では、恋人や夫婦間の愛を確かめる、または日々のコミュニケーションの為に、キスをするという行動が、日本よりも積極的に行われるような気がします。そんな中今回紹介するのは、キスをするとコーヒー代が無料になるカフェのキャンペーン「Pay with a kiss」です。 コーヒーを注文すると、店員が「キスをすると無料になる」ということを告げ、同意したお客さんはちょっと照れながらも、パートナーとキスをします。キスから本当の愛を感じるかどうかは店員が判断を行っているのだそうです。

‘Points’ is a robotic street sign created by Brooklyn-based studio Breakfast. Designed as a ‘smart’ sign, it features three rotating arms that point people in the right direction based on what they are looking and what’s happening around them. For example, during lunch time, the rotating sign will direct people to nearest food source; and if there’s a concert happening nearby, it will point in the direction of it. It even displays additional information like train timings, game scores and restaurant specials. According to the studio’s website, Points’ three arms are constantly updating themselves based on information from sources such as Twitter, RSS feeds, Foursquare and local data APIs

Vivid Sydney. From May 24 to June 10, the city of Sydney lights up in a festival dedicated to light, music and ideas. Easily one of the highlights of this year’s Vivid, which is still going on, was seeing the sails of the iconic Sydney Opera House light up. Sydney-based creative agency Spinifex Group used a combination of light projection, video mapping, and motion graphics to create Play, the hallmark event of Vivid.
Spinifex Group is behind some of the largest projection mapped projects to date including ones at the Beijing Olympic Games 2012 and Russia’s 20th Anniversary of Moscow Day. Play is a newly commissioned work that transport audiences through a playful projected journey they won’t ever forget.
The Weekend Australian described the lighting of the sails this way, “The inevitable centerpiece of Vivid Sydney, most anticipated, most noticed, most remembered and most photographed.”
