こんにちは。
今日は夏至ですね。 Summer Solstice と言いますね。
私は大人になって覚えた単語の上、年に２回しか思い出さない単語なので、
今日も辞書を引き、あ～そうだったと思い出しました。
単語を覚えるスピードと忘れるスピードの競争・・・みたいになってきました。
今日は、こんなことをまとめてみました。
Be An Excellent Cat!!
When I was studying in med- school, at the very first lecture of public health the professor said the following:
"Usually cats catch and kill mice, which is very helpful for farmers and the cats can gain praise for that. However, an extraordinary and excellent cat can keep mice away by just being there. In the same way, you will all be doctors who treat many types of medical conditions and illnesses. That's normal. I want you to be much better doctors who can even prevent diseases before people become your patients and who can keep your patients away from trouble before serious situations develop, just like an excellent cat!"
I was really moved by this analogy at that moment and made up my mind to be an excellent doctor like such a super cat. Even now I still think that I need to try harder.
