We are writing to inform you about the Snow Machine music event scheduled for Thursday 10th September, Friday 11th September, and Saturday 12th September, 2026, at Remarkables Park (opposite Wakatipa High School on the corner of Hawthorne Drive and Mountain Ash Dr). As your residence is near the event site, we want to ensure you are well-informed about the event timings and details.

Snow Machine is a multi-day music festival that plays a significant role in the Queenstown community, offering a substantial boast to the local economy. With 85% of attendees traveling from Australia, the festival attracts visitors to see live performances from bands and Dis worldwide in this beautiful region of New Zealand. Festival-goers will be staying in local hotels and short-term accommodations for at least five nights, spending their days at Coronet Peak, the Remarkables, Queenstown CBD and Al Hackett Bungy. From September 10th-12th, the

"Main Arena" will serve as the festival's central hub, where headline artists will perform each night at our temporary, licensed festival site at Remarkables Park (see map to right for exact location). For more details about the event, please visit the Snow Machine website.

We have implemented several measures to minimise noise disturbance to businesses and residents during the event. These measures include regulated sound levels that have been approved by QLDC as part of the Resource Consent Process, which we will strictly adhere to throughout the festival. This year we have also repositioned the stage to adjust the sound travel to residential areas. While you may hear music from your residence, we have provided the following schedule for your reference:

Event Night 1: Thursday 10th September, 4:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Event Night 2: Friday 11th September, 4:00 PM - 11:30 PM

Event Night 3: Saturday 12th September, 4:00 PM - 11:30 PM

Please note that some sound checks may occur throughout the event days and on Wednesday 9th. These will be kept to a minimum, and we have consulted with Wakatipu High School to avoid disruptions to the students and teachers.

SECURITY - Dedicated event security personnel will patrol the area during the event, with staff present to manage external areas.

TRAFFIC - A reputable Traffic Management provider has been engaged to minimise the impact on surrounding roads during event days.

There will be no diversions but we recommend taking an alternative route to driving past the event site during the event hours to avoid potential delays.

CLEANING - Cleaners will conduct a full sweep of the area after each night and in the morning to ensure any rubbish around the venue is promptly attended to, with particular attention given to areas around the school.

近隣企業や居住者の皆さまへの騒音の影響を最小限に抑えるため、以下の措置を講じています。クイーンズタウン・レイクス地区評議会（QLDC）のリソース・コンセント（許認可）プロセスで承認された基準音量を厳格に遵守するほか、本年は住宅街への音の伝わり方を考慮してステージの配置を変更いたしました。ご自宅まで音が届く可能性がございますが、参考までに以下のスケジュールをご確認ください。

イベント1日目： 9月10日（木）16:00 - 23:00
イベント2日目： 9月11日（金）16:00 - 23:30
イベント3日目： 9月12日（土）16:00 - 23:30

※イベント期間中および9日（水）にはサウンドチェック（音響確認）が行われる場合があります。影響は最小限にとどめ、ワカティプ高校の生徒や教職員の支障にならないよう事前に協議を行っております。

警備： 期間中は専用の警備員が周辺を巡回し、会場外のエリア管理を実施します。
交通： 専門の交通管理会社を手配し、周囲の道路への影響を最小限に抑えます。迂回路の設置はありませんが、遅延を避けるためイベント時間帯は会場付近の走行を避けるルートをご利用いただくことを推奨します。
清掃： 毎晩の終了後および翌朝に清掃スタッフがエリア全体の掃き掃除を行い、会場周辺（特に学校周辺）のごみを速やかに回収します。
