So Many Interesting Speeches

Hello everyone,

Here at Hario we are busy recording all of the speeches to prepare the speech homework. There are over 100 speeches in total, so it will take a while! I have enjoyed reading what they have written about. It's always very interesting to read about our students' life outside of Hario. They write about their interests, trips, funny stories, family life and so on. I often chat to students about subjects that they talked about in their speeches. For example, a student previously wrote and performed their speech about playing the piano. Recently, I asked him if he had a piano recital coming soon. He said it would take place soon, so I asked where it was. "Carnegie Hall, New York", he replied. I was shocked to hear that he was travelling to one of the most famous music halls in the world to perform! That recital takes place this week, so best of luck to him. It's always nice to build a rapport with students by bringing up their hobbies or interests. Even shy students are always eager to talk about what interests them most. I remember which students are into games, sports, animals, and so on.

When you visit Hario, make sure to come upstairs and check out the amazing Lego Hario model. A student built Hario, complete with teachers and students, and gave it to us as a gift. It looks wonderful and I think I'm in there teaching a class. Come in and check it out. Big thanks to the student who made it for us!

私たちハリオでは、スピーチの宿題を準備するために、全てのスピーチを録音しています。合計で100以上のスピーチがあるので、少し時間がかかります！彼らが書いた内容を読むのは楽しいですね。ハリオの外での生徒たちの生活について読むのはいつもとても興味深いです。彼らは自分の興味、旅行、面白い話、家族の生活などについて書いています。私はよく、彼らがスピーチで話したトピックについて生徒たちとおしゃべりします。例えば、ある生徒は以前にピアノを弾くことについてのスピーチを書いて、発表しました。最近、彼にもうすぐピアノのリサイタルがあるかどうか尋ねました。彼はもうすぐあると言ったので、どこで行われるのか尋ねました。「カーネギーホール、ニューヨーク」と彼は答えました。彼が世界で最も有名な音楽ホールの一つで演奏するために旅行すると聞いて、私は驚きました！そのリサイタルは今週行われるので、彼は今ニューヨークにいっています。幸運を祈ります。趣味や興味を持ち上げることで生徒たちとの良好な関係を築くのはいつも素敵なことです。恥ずかしがり屋の生徒でさえ、最も興味を持っていることについて話すのをいつも楽しみにしています。どの生徒がゲーム、スポーツ、動物などに興味を持っているか覚えています。
