備えあれば…地震・津波・富士山・ランギトト

5月に日本を旅行した際

新幹線からみた富士山が

妙に黒々していたことがずっと気になっている。

私の知っている富士山は

夏でもそれなりに山頂に雪が残っていたと思う。

それが雪はほんの少しだけで

山肌が剥き出しになっていたのだ。

地球の気候が変わったせいで

最近の富士山はこれが普通なのかもしれないが。

今日本の小さな子ども達の間で

大変奇妙な現象が起こっているらしい。

それは夢の中で神様に

地震が来るとか富士山が噴火するとか

海の中で何かが爆発するという話を

聞いて来るらしいのだ。

中には富士山と会話できる子どももいて

富士山は今お腹の中が熱くて

大変苦しい状態なのだという。

全ては子どものただの夢なのかもしれないし

戯言なのかもしれない。

それでも多くの日本各地の子ども達が

同じ様な話をしているというのは

奇妙極まりない。

漫画家のたつき諒が

幾つもの予知夢を見て

それに近いことが現実に起きた

という話は有名だ。

そんな彼女が見た夢の1つが

来年2025年7月の大地震である。

ちなみに多くの子ども達は

今年の7月も危ないと言っているらしい。

誰かが予言しようとしまいと

日本は地震大国だから

いつ大きな地震が来ても不思議ではない。

一方私達の住むオークランドだって

決して油断はできないのだ。

街には小高い丘程度の休火山なら

幾つもあるし

ランギトト島が噴火すれば

オークランドだって大変なことになる。

天災は忘れた頃にやって来るというが

普段から万が一に備えて

直ぐに持ち出せる

食料や必需品を入れた防災グッズくらいは

用意しておいた方が良いだろう。

それからベッドの下にスニーカー等

履きやすく動きやすい靴を

用意しておくのも必須だ。

大地震の後では床や地面に

壊れたガラスの破片等危険物が

散乱している可能性が高い。

いざという時にキャンプの経験があると

少しだけ楽に苦難を乗り越えられそうな気がする。

私のキャンプ経験は

高校1年生の夏が最後なのだけれど…

When I traveled to Japan in May, I saw Mt. Fuji from the Shinkansen, and it has always bothered me that it looked strangely black.

The Mt. Fuji I am familiar with typically boasts a considerable amount of snow on its summit even during the summer months.

However, on this particular occasion, there was only a sparse dusting of snow, leaving the mountainside largely bare and exposed.

As the climate on Earth changes, this may be normal for Mount Fuji these days.

It seems that a very strange phenomenon is happening among small children in Japan.

They hear from God in their dreams that an earthquake is coming, Mt. Fuji is going to erupt, or something is going to explode in the sea.

Some children even say that they can talk to Mt. Fuji, and that Mt. Fuji is currently in a very painful state because its insides are hot.

It may all just be a child's dream, or it may just be nonsense.

But it is extremely strange that many children all over Japan are telling similar stories.

There is a famous story about how manga artist Ryo Tatsuki had several precognitive dreams and something close to them actually happened.

One of the dreams she had was of a big earthquake in July 2025.

By the way, many children say that this July will also be dangerous.

Whether someone predicts it or not, Japan is a country prone to earthquakes, so it is not surprising that a big earthquake could hit at any time.

On the other hand, even in Auckland, where we live, we can never let our guard down. There are many dormant volcanoes that are just hills in the city, and if Rangitoto Island erupts, Auckland will be in big trouble.

They say that natural disasters come when we least expect them, but it's a good idea to prepare a disaster prevention kit containing food and necessities that you can take out immediately in case of an emergency. It is also essential to have sneakers or other comfortable shoes under your bed that are easy to wear and move in. After a big earthquake, there is a high chance that dangerous objects such as broken glass will be scattered on the floor and ground.

Having prior camping experience can be a valuable asset when faced with unexpected challenges. It can provide you with the skills and knowledge needed to navigate difficult situations more effectively.

For me, my most recent camping adventure took place in the summer of my junior year of high school.

Well, better than nothing.
