The other day, my husband and I used the Skycouch, which Air New Zealand highly recommends, for the first time.
I had heard that it was more comfortable than premium economy, so my expectations were at their highest.
The Skycouch is a special seat that allows one or two people to secure three seats by the window, and the space where you usually put your feet down can be flattened to the same height as the seat and used like a bed.
Of course, there is a certain amount of extra charge, but I splurged on it because I thought it would make our long journey more comfortable.
However, the width is a little narrow for two adults to sit side by side, and we tried changing positions like a puzzle, but in the end, I had to bend my body and lie down in two seats, and my husband quickly gave up because it was not comfortable for him, and sat on the aisle side with his feet down.
I think it would be comfortable for one person or two people with a small child, but our honest opinion is that it would be difficult for two adults to use it.
Poor my husband…
I slept very comfortably with two seats flat though.
