English version of my post 型の分解(#114) that is about my  Musokai solo training before going to work.

What I did yesterday were Kihon and Katas's elements practice.

As Kihon, I practiced;
・Tsukis (Punches) on Naifanchi stance
・Tsukis on Shumoku stance
・Hiza-ages (Pulling knee up) on Shumoku stance
・Mae-keris (Front kicks) on Shumoku stance

Tsukis seemed good. They cracked like whips.

Then I moved on to training of katas' elements which I didn't feel my performances were well.
・First move of Naifanchi
・"Namigaeshi" of Naifanchi with/without arms'  movements
・Turnabout throwing by Shuto (Hands swords) in Channan
・Turnabout throwing by Gedan-harai (Downward sweeping block, but Musokai doesn't use this movement as blocking technique) in Channan.

FYI:Musokai's Naifanchi is the re-integrated kata of Naifanchi shodan, nidan and sandan, based on shihan(master) Kiyoshi Arakaki's study. Channan is also re-integrated one, which derived from Pinnan shodan, nidan, sandan and godan.

I focused on conducting free fall in above kata elements.

Needless to say, free fall is a core technique of martial arts, which gives us gravity-driten "power" to control our opponents.

Then what should we do to "conduct" free fall effectively?

To answer this question is easy.
We need to remove support suddenly. In other words, to get rid of our legs' supporting effect.

Then, how can we implement this effectively?

This day I tried pulling legs up without any jumping movement.

If I could pull my legs up by using body muscles such as psoas majors, my body would lose its support against gravity and fall freely.
In addition, theoretically pulling legs upwards means simultaneously, legs are pulling body downwards.
Therefore this way of free fall is expected to pose strong impact on our opponents.

But easier said than done.

Difficult. It was very difficult.
Body axis (precisely "Seichu-sen" in Karate terminology)  often inclined in Namigaeshi.
Smoothness was lost in turnabout throwings.

But sometimes I succeeded and felt great potential of this way of free fall.

Just 15minutes training at usual parking lot.
