前回、前々回と「日米親善スプリングフェスティバル」に行くよ～
というお話をいたしました
今回はいよいよ・・・
Let's enjoy the Spring Festival!
４年ぶりに厚木基地で開催された「スプリングフェスティバル」
This festival was held at 11a.m., so our meeting time was 10:30 a.m. at Sagamino station on the Sotetsu line.
11時スタートとのことなので・・・
お友達と相鉄線「さがみ野」駅で10：30に待ち合わせ
Since I had never used this station before, I didn't know if it was usual or unusual, but many people came out of the gate of this station.
今まで一度も降りたことのない駅なので、改札からどんどん人が出てくるのが、いつものことなのか
そうじゃないのかわからない

I was a little worried about a large number of people.

I was walking close behind a friend who knows the area well.
厚木基地までの道のりに詳しいお友達に、ただひたすらついていく
And finally, the U.S. base was nearby... And at that time!!!
そしていよいよ基地が近づいてきたその時
I saw that a lot of people were standing in line across the street, and I was surprised at the number.
目に飛び込んできたのは・・・
道路の反対側に並んだ、信じられないほどの長蛇の列
I understood that I had to line the end of this line, whether I could believe it or not.
信じられなくても、信じられても、そこに並ぶしかないことは理解できた

「or not」は、あっても無くても
いいらしい・・・
After standing in line, I thought, "Is this line really to enter to the U.S. base?"
並んでから思った・・・
「この列、ホントに厚木基地に入るための列よね
」
Because I had to walk for a long time in the opposite direction from the entrance of the U.S. base.
なぜなら、延々と、
基地の入り口の反対に向かって
進むのだ
I may have walked for one and a half hours in the opposite direction... Finally! I reached the point of the U-turn.
1時間半ほど、逆に向かって歩いただろうか
やっとUターン地点が見えてきた
I had to walk the same distance that I had walked until now to go to the entrance of the base.
ここからやっと、
基地の入り口を目指して進むのだ
また同じ距離を戻るのだ
This means that...
どういうことかと申しますと・・・
I lost my motivation several times, but I didn't give up for two and a half hours!
何度も心が折れそうになりながらも、並び続け、スタートからなんと２時間半
I showed my number card and finished the baggage check...
Finally! I entered the gate!
マイナンバーカードを見せ
荷物チェックを完了し
ついに入場～
Suddenly! I could just feel the U.S. Base!
入ってすぐ、いきなりなんかそれっぽい
We took the photo with a smart dog.
賢そうなワンちゃんとともにパチリ
The start of our Spring Festival!
我らの「スプリングフェスティバル」のスタートです
