Winter has come.
I'm really lazy man...
How're you all doing? I have had a cold for 1 week and I had lost my voice
since the day before yesterday. But I'm getting over now.
Anyway, it's been long time not to write anything on my blog...
I wanna excuse about that, but that's the fact I'm a lazy man.
I could settle into a new job recently and I'm enjoying my job.
By the way, New York had been hit by cold wave last weekend, then it had been
snowing all day long on Saturday. When I got up in the Sunday morning, there
were a lot of snow like a ski resort outside and people who own them houses
were removing snow around there. Tenperatures don't increase over 0 degree
these days even if it's day time. It's too cold!! I'm little happy though, because
you know I love snowboarding. Snowboarding season is coming!!

最近、生活パターンの変化に対応できず、Blogさぼってしまいました。。。
そして、現在、風邪をひいてから1週間以上経ちます。
完全に気候の変化にやられました。
おととい、昨日と声が出ませんでしたが、今日はちょっとマシ？！
NYはかなり乾燥してる上に、夜中にセントラルヒーティングが入るので、寝てる間に
喉やられます。
まぁ、前回のBlogから色々ネタはあるんですが、小出しにしていくとして。
NY、マジで寒いです！！
先週末に寒波が来て、大雪が降りました。
土曜日は1日中降ってて、うっすら積もってる感じだったんですが、日曜の朝に起きて
外を見ると、ここはスキー場か！ みたいな。
外では各家のオーナーが必死に雪かきしてましたよ。
僕は「頑張れよ」ってそれを横目に、のんきに写真撮ってましたけど。
一日中０℃以上上がらない日もあったりで、エスキモーみたいなジャケット買おうか
迷ってます。
でも、Manhattanの冬って魅力的で、テンションアゲアゲです！
それにご存知の通り、スノーボードシーズン到来☆
スキーリゾートのサイト見て、一人でニヤニヤしてまう。。。
って感じで、頑張ってBlog再開しますんで、皆さんCheck it out♪
EXPOSURE.
One of my friends in my school is a professional photographer.
She joined a group exhibition at the Ceres gallery in Chelsea.
I went to see that exhibition last Thursday. I have seen a few exhibition
of photos, but all of them are made by someone whom I really did not know.
Her name is Aya Igarashi. Her pictures were fabulous and very interesting.
I felt her passion about works of art when I talked to her about her works.
I have to emulate her behavior about trying something.
先日、学校の友達のＡｙａ Ｉｇａｒａｓｈｉさんが作品を展示しているグループ展「EXPOSURE」に
行ってきました。今まで、何回か写真のexhibitionは見たことがあるんですが、全部誰か
知らないアーティストの方が作ったもので、友達のexhibitionを見に行くのは今回が初めてでした。
彼女の写真は、自分が好きな表現へのこだわりがはっきりとしていて、それをいかに面白く、
見る人の心を掴むかが追求されているように感じました。
作品についての話を聞いていても、コンセプトにズレがないし、何より、好きなことをできる喜び
みたいなものを感じました。
彼女はもうすぐＮＹから日本に帰るんですが、最後に素晴らしい形でＮＹに居た意味を発表したように
僕には映りました。分野は違うものの、カッコいいと思いました。
見習わないと。。。
僕も日本に帰る頃には、ＮＹに来た意味を何らかの形に残したい。
Workshop about BAUHAUS.
Now the MoMA is holding the special exhibition about BAUHAUS,
and also holding various workshops.
Today, I joined one of the workshops about BAUHAUS.
At first, we listened to the short lecture about Bauhaus design principles;
use geametry, patterning, imagery, and lettering to create simple, direct graphics
that reflect the Bauhaus's aesthetic message of clarity and boldness, and learn
basic techniques that can be applied to future projects.
Then we designed our own tote bags and painted by ourselves using Bauhaus design
principles. It was too short to learn about Bauhaus, but I could really feel Bauhaus.
I had a valuable experience on it. To my surprise, it was all free including paints,
paint pens, and basic canvas bags!
今、MoMAでは「Bauhaus展」が開かれています。
Bauhaus…ドイツ、ワイマールに設立された美術と建築に関する総合的な教育を行った学校。
それに伴って、おもしろいWorkshopをやっているという噂を聞きつけ、参加してきました。
最初に少し、Bauhausのデザインとは…みたいなレクチャーを聴いて、早速実習！
無地のベーシックなトートバッグにみんな自由にペイントしていきます。
Bauhausの美術的概念である、鮮明さ、大胆さを意識しながら用意されたペイントを使って…
1時間というあまりにも短い時間で、あっという間に終わってしまいましたが、確かに
Bauhausを肌で感じることができた気がします。
このWorkshopに参加している人たちもアートに携わっている人、もしくはアートが好きな人の
集まりなので、個性のあるおもしろい作品がいっぱいでした。
貴重な経験ができたと思います。
しかも！材料代を含め、全部タダ！！
美術館への入場券が必要だと思って、買ってたんですが、いらないことが判明し、
refundしてもらいました。
こんなのタダで参加できるなんて、幸せ☆
ちなみに、これが僕の作品。
