七草もちNanakusa-Mochi～道明寺Doumyoji

1月7日は人日の節句。「七草」「七草の節句」とも言います。
古代中国では邪気を祓うために七草の入った粥を食べ、１年の無病息災を祈る慣習があり、これが日本に伝わり「七草がゆ」になったのだとか。(参照：日本の行事・歴史)
春の草花の香りで身を清め 新しい年を迎える七草の節句に因み、七草入りの道明寺餅で蓬餡を包んだお菓子を作ってみました。

• On January 7, it is the seasonal festival of the seven herbs. 
• The custom that had been held in China from old days was handed down to Japan. The people pray for their health of one year and eat rice porridge with seven herbs. So I cooked  ricecakes using seven herbs. Fragrances of the refreshing early spring fit various drinks and liquor well.
