a sandwich in Europe is decided by the
degree of elegance. The more elegantly
you want to serve it the smaller it will
be, until it reaches the size of a silver
dollar.

く私は猛烈におなかが空いて外出し、廉価な食
べ物を探し求めました．ある調理食品店のウイ
ンドーをのぞくと、「サンドイッチ5セント」と
書かれていたのを見つけました．ヨーロッパで
はサンドイッチの大きさは、優雅さによって決
まります．優雅であればあるほど、サンドイッ
チは小さくなります．そして最終的に、銀貨ほ
ど小さなサンドイッチといなっております．
