Finally we left Macy's, and were seated
in Mr. Wagner's office ; and the elderly
gentleman with the round, pink-cheeked,
apple face looked like a very nice
grandpa. We thanked again for sending
us the tickets for the American Farmer.
He most willingly let us have money in
advance. The concert tour would start in
a week. So far, he had eighteen dates
from the forty promised.

やっと、私たちは百貨店を出て、ワーグナー
さんの事務所に入りました．ご年配の紳士でり
んごのような丸い赤ら顔で、とても素敵なおじ
いさまという感じでした．私たちはもう一度、
「アメリカン・ファーマー号」の乗船券を送っ
てくださったことへのお礼を述べました．それ
からお金の前借りの件では快諾されて、しっか
り持たせて頂きました．1週間したら、コンサ
ート・ツアーが始まります．事務所との契約は
40日間で、そのうち18日間の公演が決まって
います．
