Sure that there was something wrong, I began to crawl about.
〇 何かが具合が悪い、きっとそうだ。
ボクは這いずり回った。
Which proved painful.
〇 動き回ると、チクチク痛い。
I had been snatched away from softest straw only to be pitched with
violence into a prickly clump of bamboo grass.
〇 ボクは柔らかだった藁の中から、ひっつかまって、乱暴にも
チクチクする竹藪の茂みの中に、放り投げられていたんだ。
After a struggle, I managed to scramble clear of the clump
and emerged to find a wide pond stretching beyond it.
〇 もがいた末、ボクは何とか茂みを脱出して、その前に広がる
池のところまでやってきた。
I sat at the edge of the pond and wondered what to do.
〇 ボクはその池のほとりに座って、さてどうしようかと悩んだ。
No helpful thought occurred.
〇 何にもならない考えしか出てこなかった。
