慰安婦少女像設置が承認されたグレンデール市の近くにあるブエナパーク市
（BuenaPark）に同じ韓国系団体（Korean AmericanForum of California）が慰安婦記念碑を提案しています。
新聞報道によるとグレンデールに抗議が殺到していることもあり、市長は積極的ではない様子ですが、7月23日(火)18時 （日本時間24日 朝10時）に公聴会が行われます。現地の日本人・日系人が反対運動で頑張っています。日本から応援するためにも、慰安婦記念碑反対のメールをブエナパーク市長市議関係者に送りましょう！日本人が捏造慰安婦性奴隷に怒っていることを見せましょう！

I send this email as a one Japanese who wishes seriously a friendly
relation among USA, Korea and Japan.
I have just learned that a proposal was submitted to your council for
installing the comfort women monument which is similar monument
approved by Glendale. I feel very sad, disappointed and even angry by
the approval of Installation of a Korean “Comfort Women” Monument in
Glendale.
Recent few years, Korean American’s anti-Japanese propaganda and
lobbying become extremely active. Korean’s allegation is during WWII
the Imperial Armed Forces of Japan abducted approximately 200,000
young women and forced them into sexual slavery known as “comfort
women”. But this is NOT the fact.
We do not try to rewrite the history. As the fabricated history is
spreading, we cannot miss damaged our ancestors’ honor, and we want you
to know the fact what the real history is. Japanese government and
South Korean government authorities jointly conducted a survey on
comfort women issue in the 1990s. There was no evidence proving
participation and forcing nature of the Japanese government and the
Japanese military other than former comfort women’s testimony. If youbelieve that Comfort Women system is sexual slavery, please give us anyverified evidence as well as any name of historiansaying so.
Friendly relationship among US, South Korea, and Japan is very important due to stabilization for Pacific Ocean Region. Because of this anti-Japan propaganda problem, public sentiment got worse among all three countries. Then those situations make happy military expansion countries and Communist terrorist counties, such as China and
North Korea.
Historical views on Comfort Women between Japan and Korea are quite different. This issue becomes a serious political matter between the both countries.
I wonder if Citizens of Buena Park could truly need and wish such a problematic and uneasy monument in a public place. We know that
American people cherish and esteem fairness, justice, and truth. We
wish that this controversial issue may not cause damage to a very
important friendly relation among the countries. I am grateful to you
for taking valuable time to read this mail.
