Ｔ：１）語句の繰り返しを避けるために省略される。
① I stayed at my uncle's yesterday. = my uncle's (house)
② I like white wine better than red.
= I like white wine better than red one.
③ You can do it if you want to. ｛代不定詞｝
④ I can't play baseball as well as I used to.
⑤ The first question was difficult, but the second easy.
= The first question was difficult, but the second one was easy.
⑥ To some life is pleasure, but others suffering.
= To some life is pleasure, but to others life is suffering.
⑦ Love is blind. People close their eyes when they shouldn't.

② 白ワインの方が好きだ。
③ やりたければやっていい。
④ 以前ほど野球がうまくない。
⑤ 最初の質問は難しかったが、次の質問はやさしかった。
