北海道のエスコンフィールドでは「★SAPPOROの看板を超えるな」と厳重注意（笑）
数値は初速でmph。放物線軌道よりライナーの方が、初速は出るみたい。
飛距離はフィートで、0.3倍でメートル。
日本のバットは、ルール変更で細くなった。

I cannot believe escon field actually let you use their stadium. Japanese are notoriously uptight about that stuff. And in defense of the Japanese bats, you can’t expect to go into a random sports store and get the best bats. It’s like going into dicks sporting goods and picking the bats from there. The best bats are back ordered or available only over the internet or the speciality stores.
If you went to Japan I would have loved to see you see more of Japan, meet the people there and possibly practice with one of their high school teams (they are now holding the most prestigious high school koshien tournament right now).
エスコン・フィールドが実際にスタジアムの使用を許可したなんて信じられません。日本人はそういうことに非常に神経質ですからね。日本のバットを擁護するわけではありませんが、適当なスポーツ用品店に行って最高のバットが手に入るなんて期待しないでください。まるでディックス・スポーティング・グッズに行ってバットを選ぶようなものです。最高のバットは入荷待ちだったり、インターネットや専門店でしか入手できないんです。
もし日本に行ったなら、もっと日本を見て、現地の人々と交流し、できれば日本の高校野球チームと練習したかったですね。（ちょうど今、日本で最も権威のある高校野球大会である甲子園が開催されています）
