発売当時のインパクトは相当なものだったが、ZR1の登場など、他メーカーの車がレベルアップした昨今、性能的には埋もれてしまった印象。
加速がイマイチと思いきや、1000馬力ではなく、800馬力での走行だったようです。

7:30 engine power gauge is showing 800hp during start up. it means that the car was in low power mode for 95 octane fuel. It can by change manualy for high octane fuel by pressing combination of the buttons on the console. The car won't detect octane rating by itself, it has to be change manualy

For anyone wondering why the Veyron seem slow. Bottom left is the hp gauge, during the startup the needle only goes up to 800hp indicating the engine have been detune to 800hp for lower octane fuel. This is a feature of the Veyron which reduces the compression in the engine to compensate for the lower octane fuel. So no the Veyron is not broken
ヴェイロンがなぜ遅いのか疑問に思っている方へ。左下は馬力計です。始動時に針が800馬力までしか上がらないのは、エンジンが低オクタン価燃料用に800馬力にデチューンされていることを示しています。これは、低オクタン価燃料に対応するためにエンジンの圧縮比を下げるヴェイロンの機能です。つまり、ヴェイロンが壊れているわけではありません。
