First race, first win for TOYOTA GAZOO Racing's GR010 Hybrid at Spa-Francorchamps. Sebastien Buemi, Kazuki Nakajima and Brendon Hartley brought the #8 Hypercar home at the centre of the podium ahead of team-mates Mike Conway, Kamui Kobayashi and Jose Maria Lopez in third place.

レースでは、LMP2よりHYPERCARのレースペースの方が良かった。
ルマンだと、直線の速いLMP2が有利になるという話もあるが・・・
予選いまいちだったALPINEもレースペースが良く、トヨタと優勝争いをしていたことから、他メーカーもHYPERCARで参戦するようになって台数が増えると、レースが盛り上がる。
