WEC世界耐久選手権の2021年シーズン開幕戦『スパ・フランコルシャン6時間レース』の公式予選が4月30日、スパ・フランコルシャン・サーキットで行われ、小林可夢偉がアタッカーを務めたTOYOTA GAZOO Racingの7号車トヨタGR010ハイブリッド（マイク・コンウェイ／可夢偉／ホセ-マリア・ロペス組）がポールポジションを獲得した。

走らせ方は変わっているだろうが、トヨタのタイムは2020年と変わらずでした↓
懸念されていた、ルール変更でマシンが遅くなりすぎて、レベルが下がると言うようなことは無い模様。その辺は、相当上手く調整したと思われる。
