マレーシア・プトラジャヤにある IOI City Mall （アイオーアイシティモール）に行ってきました。そこでとても気になるフルーツを見つけました。
マレーシアの大きなショッピングモールでは、必ずフルーツショップがあります。
ここIOI City Mallでも、清潔で綺麗なフルーツショップがあります。
普段は何気なく前を通り過ぎるだけでしたが、今回はあるフルーツが突然目に入ってしまいました。

I went to IOI City Mall in Putrajaya, Malaysia. There I found a fruit that really caught my eye.
In large shopping malls in Malaysia, there is always a fruit shop.
There is a beautiful fruit shop here at IOI City Mall.
I usually just pass by it without paying much attention, but this time, a certain fruit suddenly caught my eye.

まず最初に、このフルーツショップについてご紹介しましょう。

マレーシアのショッピングモールには、必ずある「MBG Fruit Shop」です。
ここほど、様々な種類のフルーツをたくさん置いているお店はありません。
なにせフルーツ専門店なんですから。
お店の前を通ると、思わず立ち止まって、フルーツを眺めてしまいます。
結構売れ行きが良く、お店では量り売りが主体なので買いやすく、連日お客様が絶えることはありません。
正面の裏手がキャッシャーになっています。
プラスティックを排出しない材質の袋に入れたフルーツを持って行って、量ってもらいます。
The MBG Fruit Shop can be found in most shopping malls.
There is no other store that stocks as many different kinds of fruits as MBG Fruit Shop.
After all, it is a fruit specialty store.
Whenever I pass by the store, I can't help but stop and look at the fruits.
The fruit sells quite well, and since the store mainly sells by weight, it is easy to buy, and customers never stop coming in every day.
Behind the front of the store is a cashier.
You take your fruit in a bag made of a material that does not eject plastic and have it weighed.

店員さんが毎日一日中、入荷したフルーツや既に展示しているフルーツを選別し、展示している商品のすべてが、いつも新鮮なフルーツであるよう気を配っています。
だから、いつ来ても本当に美しい状態のフルーツを鑑賞しながら、購入できます。

というように、自宅までデリバリーしてくれます。

突如目に入って来た、とても気になるフルーツをご紹介しましょう！

これが、気になるフルーツ「ドーナツピーチ」です。
This is the fruit I'm curious about "Donut Peach."
ドーナツピーチは、「蟠桃（ばんとう）」といい、日本では「座禅桃 」とも呼ばれています。
『西遊記』にも登場し、楊貴妃が宮廷果樹園で自分のためだけに栽培させるほど、その味と香りを愛していたそうです。因みに、このフルーツの原産地は中国です。
これが、アメリカ、ヨーロッパに渡り栽培されるようになりました。
果肉は固めでジューシー。香りも大変良く、ねっとりとした甘味が特徴です。
日本国内でも栽培されていますが、大変手間のかかる難しい品種で、ドーナツのような形状のおかげで中央の窪みには雨水がたまりやすく、そのままにしていると割れたり腐ったりするため放置ができません。また成熟して実が大きくなってくると、膨れた果肉が枝を押し、自ら落下してしまいます。日本国内で流通しにくく高価であるのは、その栽培管理が非常に難しいためと言われています。

価格は信州産 1.5㎏箱入り 7〜12個入り 価格: ¥11,880 (税込) と高価です。
因みに、マレーシアでは、スペイン産が輸入されており、上記写真Pic.06の通り、価格は、MR59.9/1㎏、MR89.85/1.5㎏ です。
￥33/MR１で、日本円に換算しますと、￥1,977/1㎏、￥2,965/1.5㎏
となり、日本産がとても高価なことがわかります。
Donut peaches originate from China.
They have since been brought to America and Europe for cultivation.
The flesh is firm and juicy. It has a great aroma and a sticky sweetness.
Although it is cultivated in Japan, it is a difficult variety that requires a lot of labor, and it is said that the reason it is difficult to distribute and expensive is because it is very difficult to cultivate and manage.
The price in Japan is expensive: Shinshu produce 1.5kg box of 7-12 pieces, price: ¥11,880 (tax included).
Incidentally, Spanish produce is imported to Malaysia, and as you can see in the photo Pic.06 above, the price is MR59.9/1kg, MR89.85/1.5kg.

写真を見ると分るように、果肉が膨れると枝を押し、自ら落下してしまいます。
採取の時期を見分けるのが極めて困難であることが分かります。
As you can see from the photo, when the flesh swells it pushes against the branch and causes the fruit to fall off. This shows how difficult it is to tell when it's time to harvest.

マレーシア・キャメロンハイランド産の大きなイチゴをご紹介します。

「BOHティー」で有名なキャメロンハイランド、標高1,500メートル以上の高地にあり、寒暖の差が大きく、野菜や果物の栽培に最適です。
従って、マレーシアの美味しい農産物は、すべてキャメロンハイランド産です。
このイチゴは、そこそこ甘みがあり、とても人気があります。
このお店に並べられている果物は、すべて試食できます。
イチゴもドーナツピーチも、上部に試食用のタッパーウェアが準備されていました。
Cameron Highlands, famous for "BOH Tea," is located at an altitude of over 1,500 meters, which means there is a large difference in temperature between hot and cold, making it ideal for growing vegetables and fruits.
All Malaysian delicious produce is from Cameron Highlands.
These strawberries are quite sweet and popular.
All fruit on display in this shop can be tasted.
Both these strawberries and the doughnut peaches were available in the top tupperware for tasting.
