シンガポール〜東京～シンガポールの往復クルーズ（Back to Back）の
一コマについてお伝えしています。
2023年9月28日、スペクトラムオブザシーズがシンガポールを出航して10日目、
熊本県八代市の「くまモンポート八代」に停泊中です。

(No.28 Enjoyed the Kumamon Port)
Today is September 28, 2023, the day 10 since Spectrum of the Seas sailed from Singapore. We are docked in Kumamon Port Yatsushiro in Yatsushiro-city Kumamoto-pref.

スペクトラムオブザシーズに戻る途中で
くまモンポート八代で、半日間とても楽しく過ごすことができました。
もう、お昼の時間もとっくに過ぎています。
遅くなってしまいましたが、ランチを食べにクルーズ船に戻ることにしました。
戻る途中で、ターミナル内でいろいろなイベントを開催していました。
その様子についてご紹介します。
On the way back to Spectrum of the Seas
I had a very enjoyable half day at Kumamon Port Yatsushiro.
It was already well past lunchtime.
It was getting late, but we decided to go back to the cruise ship for lunch.
On the way back, various events were being held in the terminal.
I'd like to share with you what they were like.

主として日本の伝統文化の体験イベントを行っていました。
The purpose of this event was to experience traditional Japanese culture.

くまモンの写真展も行われていました。
また、いぐさの感触を、畳の上に座って体感するコーナーもありました。
There was also a Kumamon photo exhibition.
There was also a corner where you could sit on the tatami mats and experience the feel of rush grass.

熊本いぐさについて
いぐさ生産は、八代の基幹産業としてのみならず、熊本県の農業の中心となってきました。 畳表の産地として昭和43年に日本一になって以来、37年もトップの座を保っています。
当該いぐさは、最重要部分の灯芯が発達しているため、次の様な効果が期待できるそうです。
- 適度な湿度と温度を保ってくれる
- 空気を清浄してくれる
- ヒーリング効果をもつ香りを分泌している
- ダニの繁殖が少ない
- シックハウス症候群に大きな効果
ということが判っているそうです。
About Kumamoto Igusa
Igusa production is not only a core industry in Yatsushiro, but also the center of agriculture in Kumamoto Prefecture. Since becoming the number one producer of tatami mats in Japan in 1968, it has maintained its top position for 37 years.

船に戻るために、クルーズターミナルに一旦入り、セキュリティチェックを受けなければなりません。
くまモンポート八代の前の寄港地、長崎でイミグレーションチェックを受け、日本へ入国していますので、ここではセキュリティチェックだけで船に戻ることができます。
To return to the ship, you must enter the cruise terminal and go through security.
Since you have already gone through immigration and entered Japan in Nagasaki, the port before Kumamon Port Yatsushiro, you can return to the ship only by going through security here.

ロイヤルカリビアンのテントで、シーパスカードのチェックを受けなければ乗船できません。
船に掛かっている白いボーディングブリッジは、くまモンポートの所有設備です。
左に立っている男性は、彼の奥様に、スペクトラムオブザシーズをバックに写真を撮ってもらっていました。右側の男性は、お土産を入れたロイヤルカリビアンのトートバッグを肩に掛けて乗船しようとしているところです。
To board the ship, we must have your Sea Pass card checked at the Royal Caribbean tent.
The white boarding bridge hanging on the ship is owned by Kumamon Port.
The man standing on the left has his wife take a photo of him with the Spectrum of the Seas in the background. The man on the right is preparing to board the ship with a Royal Caribbean tote bag slung over his shoulder, full of souvenirs.
