Reminder regarding immigration procedures upon arrival at Kota Kinabalu International Airport
「在マレーシア日本国大使館からの通達」が、2023年7月7日に発出されました。
その内容は、KKIA(コタキナバル国際空港)到着時の入境手続に関する注意喚起です。
にも記述した通りですが、改めて報告させていただきます。
この注意喚起は、
マレーシア・サバ州では州独自の出入境管理が行われていますが、
コタキナバル国際空港に到着する際の留意事項として、送付されてきたものです。
同空港において入境印（スタンプ）が押されないまま入境し、出境時にトラブルになったケースが散見されているということです。
また、マレーシア・サラワク州クチン国際空港に到着する際においても同様ですので、抜けの無きよう留意してください。

The following is the content of the notification
from the Embassy of Japan in Malaysia.
Sabah, Malaysia has its own immigration control, and when arriving at Kota Kinabalu International Airport, even if you are traveling within Malaysia from a state other than Sabah in Malaysia to Sabah, you need to have your passport stamped by an immigration officer.
There are two exits for domestic flights at Kota Kinabalu International Airport: (1) Dalam Negeri Sabah and (2) Peninsula/Sarawak/Labuan (Semenanjung/Sarawak/Labuan).
If you have arrived in Sabah from Kuala Lumpur or other states, head to the "(2) Peninsula/Sarawak/Labuan (Semenanjung/Sarawak/Labuan)" exit and be sure to have your passport stamped with a Sabah immigration stamp at the immigration office.
Note: The 'inside Sabah' exit does not have an immigration office and will not be stamped.
Recently, there have been some cases of people entering Kota Kinabalu without getting a stamp of entry at Kota Kinabalu International Airport, causing trouble when leaving the border.
