マレーシア・サバ州のコタキナバルに来ています。
私のコタキナバルのホテル到着までの楽しみ方について
◎所要時間
KUL(クアラルンプール国際空港KLIA)からBKI(コタキナバル国際空港KKIA)までの所要時間は、2時間40分です。
◎チェックインは、24時間前からOK
KLIAのマレーシア航空のカウンターでは、国際線・国内線を問わず、出発時刻の24時間前からチェックインができます。
◎この日の食事
朝一番にKLIAへ到着しセキュリティ通過後、ゴールデンラウンジで朝食、そしてお昼ごろの便で機内食をいただきます。
夕刻KKIA到着後タクシーにてホテルへ。ホテルチェックイン後、エグゼクティブラウンジにて少なめの夕食をいただく。
というのが、コロナ禍を含めて、Marriott & SPGの時代、またHiltonがGoldでもOKの時代から、ここ８年ほどの毎年の行事です。
◎ホテルまでのタクシー
現在は、もちろんGRAB利用です。KKIAはシティーセンターから至近距離にあるため、
ホテルまでは、RM8～10程度（所要時間10～20分程度）で行くことができます。
◎KKIAは将来移転
移転先候補は、約60キロメートル離れたサバ州キマニスというところで、
丁度一年前から移転に向け実現可能性調査中とのことです。
実現すると、私達旅行者にとっては、シティーセンターから随分不便な位置関係になりそうです。
◎この日のお天気
出発は、機材到着遅れのため、到着が40分程度遅れました。
この日のコタキナバルのお天気は、午後2時頃まで曇りという予想でしたが、
ラッキーなことに到着遅れが幸いして、コタキナバル上空にさしかかった頃には、快晴になっていました。
◎上空からの美しい海
とういうことで、KKIA上空から眺めた、海の様子をUPしました。

I have been in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia since yesterday.
How to enjoy before arriving at the hotel in Kota Kinabalu.
◎ Required time
Travel time from KUL (Kuala Lumpur International Airport KLIA) to BKI (Kota Kinabalu International Airport KKIA) is 2 hours 40 minutes.
◎ Check-in is possible from 24 hours before
At Malaysia Airlines counters at KLIA, we can check-in 24 hours before departure for both international and domestic flights.
◎ Meal of the day
We arrived at KLIA early in the morning, and after passing through security, we had breakfast at the Golden Lounge, and had an in-flight meal on the flight around noon.
After arriving at KKIA in the evening, we went to the hotel by taxi. After checking into the hotel, we had a small dinner at the executive lounge.
This has been an annual event for the past 8 years, including the corona crisis, since the era of Marriott & SPG, and the era when Hilton was OK with Gold.
◎ Taxi to the hotel
Currently, of course, we use GRAB. KKIA is very close to the city center, so we can go to the hotel at about RM8-10 (10-20 minutes).
◎ KKIA will relocate in the future
The candidate for the relocation site is Kimanis, Sabah, about 60 kilometers away.
It is said that the feasibility study for relocation has been underway for exactly one year.
If it is realized, it will be very inconvenient for us travelers from the city center.
◎Today's weather
Departure was delayed by about 40 minutes due to a delay in the arrival of equipment.
The weather in Kota Kinabalu on this day was expected to be cloudy until around 2pm.
Luckily, we arrived late, and by the time we reached the sky over Kota Kinabalu, the weather was clear.
