先だって、天真正伝香取神道流師範大竹利典先生に、”香取神道流の技がどんなに優れようとその知識がどんなに豊富であろうと香取神道流の極意皆伝が何故４２歳までに与えられないのですか？”と尋ねました。 大竹先生は人間は海から生まれ、今でも地球の息吹とともに生きているとおしゃいました。 海波の回数は毎分１８回、人間の呼吸も１８回。 １８の２倍は３６で人間の体温となり、３６の２倍は７２で人間の毎分当たりの心拍数になる。 心臓は１５億回鼓動すると終わる。 いわゆる寿命である。 それから計算すると４２歳＝１５億回鼓動/ (７２心拍数/分 X ６０分 X ２４時間 X ３６５日)が導き出される。 極意皆伝は、どんなに技が優れていても、その技を使う人格が整っていなければ与えられない。 知識、経験を積み人間としての人格を整えるまでに４２年かかる。 その４２歳を超えてこそ極意皆伝である。 抜群の剣の技を持ち、深い知識を持った天真正伝香取神道流師範大竹利典先生でさえも恩師林弥左衛門先生から極意皆伝を４２歳まで授与されることはありませんでした。
因みに、ぞうとネズミで検証してみました。 偶然の一致か、摩訶不思議である。

I recently asked Mr Risuke Otake, master of Katori Shintoryu. "Why is not given Gokuikaiden (highest license) of Katori Shintoryu until 42 years old, though the sword technique and knowledge are good enough ?". Mr. Otake answered we were borned from sea, and even now have been living together with the earth. The number of the wave in a sea is 18 times per minute, and the number of human breathing is also 18 times. Two times of 18 will be 36 that is equal to the body temperature of human beings, and two times of 36 will be human beings's heart beat per minute in 72. When I beat 1,500,000,000 times, a heart ends. It is so-called life expectancy. And when it's calculated, 42 years old = 1.5 billion heart beats /(72 heart beat/minute X 60 minutes X 24 hours X 365 days). Even if a person is highly skilled at a sword techique, when the character using the work isn't complete, Gokuikaiden isn't given. It takes 42 years for being good human beings through knowledge and experience. That is why Gokuikaiden is given after 42 years old. Even Mr. Risuke Otake, our great master who exceled the sword technique and the knowledge, was not given Gokuikaiden until 42 years old from a former master, My Yazaemon Hayashi.
By the way, I inspected by a mouse and an elephant. What a coincidence ! It is very mysterious.

Mouse : Heart beats 500/minute X 60 minutes X 24 hours X 365 days X life expectancy 3 years X 2times = 1.5 billion heart beats
I know many 2nd & 3rd generations of a company founder and offsprings in a good family through my business. There are people making approach toward such a person to get something good for them. The persons of 2nd & 3rd generations are intoxicated with the people's pleasant words, and become arrogant without modesty. Eventually the persons collapse the organization. The learning of 42 years old of the Katori Shinto is teaching us that we should know our pre-maturity and not forget modesty in order to keep polishing the character as well as work of a sword.
