Pierre Attaingnant(c.1494-late 1551 or 1552)
Danceries second liure(Paris 1547)
No.45,46 Pauane 1,2
I have not mentioned it specifically, but in the 16th and 17th centuries, there was almost no distinction between “u” and “v”. Both upper case letters are “V” and both lower case letters are “u”. I try to keep as much of the original usage as possible, but this is not always the case when the current usage is acceptable. In the end, I am aware that this is a half-hearted response, but please understand.
