No.117 (Anonymous, Richard Edwards?) "The daie(day) delaied(delayed)"

As to whether the composer of this piece is Richard Edwards, Mr. Jonathan Goodliffe states in CPDL, but I have not been able to corroborate this, so like DIAMM, I have treated it as author unknown.

 

bar1-7 : The daie delaied of that I most do wish,
             Wherwt I fede and sterve in one degree:

bar8-14 : Wt wish & want still served in one dissh,
               Alyve as dead, by proof as you may see.

bar15-20, 21-26 : to whome of old this proverb well it serues
                           while gras doth groww, the silly horse he starves.
