An Evening with Devorah Heitner

Dr. Devorah Heitner, an expert on young people's relationship with digital media and technology, will join us on Tuesday, Jan. 29, in Seto Hall to share her empowering research-based advice on raising resilient and kind kids in our always-connected, increasingly challenging world. She is the author of Screenwise: Helping Kids Thrive (and Survive) in Their Digital World and founder of Raising Digital Natives. Her mission is to cultivate a culture of empathy and social/emotional literacy.Dr. Heitner's work has appeared in the New York Times, theWashington Post,The Wall Street Journal,TIME magazine and Education Week. Girls basketball




Our girls basketball team, which wrapped up the ILH first-round title earlier this month, won the league tournament this past week, beating Punahou, 58-49, and Kamehameha, 60-48, to clinch our school's first ILH championship in girls Division I basketball since 2012. 




Our Raiders have earned a first-round bye in the State Tournament and will play a quarterfinal game on Thursday, Feb. 7.Link for more info as it becomes available.




Girls soccer


On Tuesday, Eddie Hamada Field was the site of the ILH girls soccer championship playoff game and our Raiders played Kamehameha to a scoreless draw through 80 minutes of regulation time and a pair of 10-minute overtime periods. 



The Warriors prevailed in the subsequent penalty-kick shootout, 2-1, to repeat as league champs. Our back-to-back defending state champions will begin this year's HHSAA Tournament on Monday when they host Moanalua in a first-round game at Eddie Hamada Field that will begin at 3:15 pm.Link for more info



Boys soccer


The boys soccer team had an excellent week, beating Mid-Pacific, 3-0, on Friday and Kamehameha, 4-0, on Saturday to win the ILH Tournament and force a winner-take-all playoff versus ILH regular-season champion Punahou on Tuesday for the overall league crown and the seeded berth in the upcoming HHSAA State Championships.

Boys Swimming


Our boys intermediate swim team won the 1st place in the ILH Intermediate Championship. The swim meet took place on January 11th at the 'Iolani pool. 



The girls swim team took the 3rd place. Both our intermediate teams showed high quality swimming embracing the 'One Team' spirit. Go Raiders!
