On Friday, Lower School held its first Lunch with a Friend event. Each year, 4-6 graders are paired with K-3 students to bond and build friendships.
Following our pizza lunch, the students engaged in an activity to get to know one another by asking questions such as "If you could be an animal, what would you be?" or "Would you rather be invisible or be able to read minds?" The students were then able to have some free time to play. Our next Lunch with a Friend event is in January.
Estudiantina La Salle
Estudiantina La Salle from La Salle University in Mexico City gave a successful performance at ‘Iolani on Sept. 16, 2016, celebrating Estudiantina La Salle’s 50th year in the 50th state on Mexican Independence Day. Having enjoyed their visit to Hawai‘i in 2016, ELS decided to stopover on Oahu on its way back to Mexico from its Japan tour. Estudiantina La Salle, under the direction of Señor Irving Cuevas, performed in Seto Hall on Friday, September 28, 2018, and gave another fun and high energy concert, engaging every student in the room. They wowed the audience and were also wowed by how lively our Spanish and non-Spanish students were.
