昨日から「call」を引き継いで、古いけど好きなポピュラー・ソングを。 f(^^;
1964年にシングル「恋のダウンタウン(Downtown)」♪（これも作詞・作曲：トニー・ハッチ）をヒットさせた英国のペトゥラ・クラークの1965年のシングルがオリジナル。
同年に米国のクリス・モンテスがカバーして全米最高22位のヒット。
なのですが、本ブログならでは(笑)…毎度のフランク・シナトラのカバーが本題。
過去記事で「コール・ミー・イレスポンシブル(Call Me Irresponsible)」♪なんてスタンダード曲も上げているので、よろしければソチラもオススメです。 (^^ゞ
◎ドゥニ・ヴィルヌーヴ監督の「ブレードランナー 2049」2017米の序盤部分で使用された「サマー・ウィンド」♪を上げていた1966年５月発売のアルバム「夜のストレンジャー(Strangers in the Night)」収録で＃４。
スタンダード曲のみでなく、時代の流れに合わせてポピュラー・ソングもアルバムに取り入れるようになった初期の曲。
ネルソン・リドルのアレンジでシッカリ自分のものにしています。
