D: It seems to me that you should think about your health more than money.
R: I'm fine, Dad. I never get sick, you know.

You can say 'touch wood' in British English, or 'knock on wood' in American English, to indicate that you hope to have good luck in something you are doing, usually after saying that you have been lucky with it so far.
□ She's never even been to the doctor's, touch wood.
□ Touch wood, I've been lucky enough to avoid any other serious injuries.

・ seem のほうがやや深みを感じるフレーズ
・It seems [appears] that ~ の形、seem [appear] to do などの形もマーク

It feels like you're missing my point.

R：Well, I worked as a waitress in a Japanese restaurant. And then I was a receptionist at a Japanese hair salon.
